ETF Focus: S&P launches index focusing on dividend payers
ETF Focus: S&P launches index focusing on dividend payers
So it looks like we will have our third dividend focused ETF, soon, based on the new S P Dividend Aristocrats fund. The other day I posted an article from Barron's that had some negative comments on CEFs that write calls. Too much of any new type of product can be a negative but I don't think three of a thing means too much supply and for now it is nice to have a couple of choices.
For me the focus is still that new products are being thought up and brought to market. Low impact (read: things that don't cause a lot of stress) holdings as a cornerstone to a self managed portfolio will get most investors where they need to be. A portfolio chock full of four letter stocks with betas of two or three is more risk than most people need to take on.
